Firts of all I'd like to share some very interesting information I learned from the course I'm currently taking, which is conservation biology, and it's concerning extinction risks and rates:

- In the last 5 million years, the extinction for mammals has been around 0,06%/1000 years. Which means that approximately 0,06% of the mammal species went extinct every thousand years. That's a low value

- During the Permian mass extinction the value was 0,6% (for the marine fauna). A much higher value

- During the Cretaseous mass extinction the value was 0,2%

- During the Pleistocene mass extinction the value was around 0,3%

- From 1600 to PRESENT: 3%!!

This means that we humens are 15 times more powerful and dangerous than whatever wiped out the dinos!
I don't know about the rest of you but this almost makes we wish for that some sort of super virus will come and wipe out, at least, half of the human population. This planet is getting crowded

On a more general level I've been very busy, just as always. I've been forced to study during the weeks and most of the weekends as well. And when I don't study I'm trying to keep up with my social life, so on the drawing front not much gets a chance to get done. I'm still working on that list with people I owe picures, and I'm slowly but certainly working my way down that list Let me put it this way: when a picture gets done, it gets done. No fuzz, no muzz
